Don't be Anxious

Matthew 6:25-34

“Therefore—I tell you the truth—don’t worry about your life, what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor for your body and how to clothe it. Isn’t life about much more than food and fashion? Look, the birds of the air neither sow nor reap—or store stuff in barns. Yet, your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you more important than they?

“Which of you by concentrating on it can add an inch to his height? And why worry about your clothes? Think about the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work to create their attire. But I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory, was not dressed in their splendor.  Look, if God so clothes the grass of the field—which is here today and tomorrow used as fuel—won’t he clothe you, O’ one of weak faith? Therefore, don’t think about what you will eat, or what you will drink, or what you will wear. The gentiles worry about such things! Your heavenly Father knows that you need these. Rather, seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you as well. Don’t worry about tomorrow. Tomorrow will take care of itself. Each day has its own problems.
