Parable of the Sower
Matthew 13:3-9, Mark 4:3-9, Luke 8:5-8
Matthew 13:3-9
And he taught many things to them in parables, saying, “Look, a farmer went out to plant. And where he sowed, some seeds fell on the path and the birds came and ate them. Some fell among the stones where they didn’t have much soil, but they sprouted in the shallow dirt. When the sun came up, however, the heat wilted them because they lacked depth. Some fell among the thorns and sprouted. But when the weeds sprouted, they were choked out and didn’t bear fruit.
But others fell on good ground and produced a crop; some a hundred times, some sixty times, and some thirty times what was planted. Whomever has ears, let him hear.”

Mark 4:3-9
“Look, a farmer went out to plant. And it happened that as he sowed the seed, some seeds fell on the path and the birds came and ate them. Some fell among the stones, where they didn’t have much soil, but they sprouted in the shallow dirt. When the sun came up, however, the heat wilted them because, lacking depth, they wilted. Some fell among the thorns and sprouted. But when the weeds sprouted, they were choked out and didn’t bear fruit.
But others fell on good ground and produced a crop; some a hundred times, some sixty times, and some thirty times what was planted. Whomever has ears, let him hear.”

Luke 8:5-8
“Look, a farmer went out to plant. And it happened that as he sowed the seed some seeds fell outside the field. They were on the path and the birds came and ate them. Some fell on a rock, but as soon as it sprouted, it wilted, because it lacked water. Some fell among weeds, and as the weeds grew, they choked it. But others fell on good ground, spouted, and produced a hundred times itself.”
