Eight Days that Changed the World

Palm Sunday - Resurrection Sunday
Sunday, March 1 - Sunday, March 8, 33 A.D.
Remember, Jewish days begin at sundown on the preceding day

Arrival at Bethpage, east of Jerusalem

Friday afternoon, 2/27/33 A.D.

The trip from Jericho would have been as part of the pilgrim band traveling to Jerusalem for Passover, not just Jesus and the twelve. Obviously, the dinner where Martha served was the Sabbath meal, Friday evening.

Support for a Thursday crucifixion will be discussed with the specific texts, but there is non-Biblical support as well. Passover always comes with a new moon and the only new moon that fits came on March 4, a Wednesday night. The other dates are calculated back from that.
