Parable of the Two Sons

Matthew 21:28-32

“What do you think? A certain man had two sons. He came to the first one and said, ‘Son, go work today in my vineyard.’

“He answered and said, ‘No.’ But later, he repented, and went.

“And he came to the second one and said the same thing. And he answered and said, ‘Sure, I’ll go, sir,’ but he didn’t go. Which of the two did the will of his father?”

They said to him, “The first.”

Jesus said to them, “I tell you the truth. The tax-collectors and the prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God in front of you. John came to you speaking the truth, but you didn’t believe him. Yet, the tax-collectors and prostitutes believed him! But you—when you saw what he did, didn’t repent. Otherwise, you would have believed him.”
