Examples of Healings
Matthew seems to leave the chronological order of events to cluster examples of the authority vested in Jesus. He first lists the healing of a leper, then moves forward to the healing of the centurion’s servant. He backs up and adds the earlier healing of Peter’s mother-in-law. He then moves forward and adds the delivery of the demoniac across the Galilee. Last, he shows Jesus’ ability to forgive sin with the paralytic.

Mark and Luke seem to give a more dependable chronology, which has been followed.
