Matthew 21:45-46

And when the chief priests and Pharisees had heard his parables, they perceived that he was referring to them. They would have arrested him, but they feared the crowd who saw him as a prophet.

Mark 12:12

And they sought to arrest him, but they feared the people. They knew that he had directed the parable against them. Defeated, they left him and went their way.

Luke 20:19

At that point, the chief priests and the scribes tried to arrest him, but they feared the people, for they knew he had spoken this parable against them.
