Jesus Appears Before Herod

When Herod saw Jesus, he was very glad because he had wanted to see him for a long time. He had heard the reports of his miracles and had hoped to see one. He questioned him extensively, but Jesus remained silent.

The chief priests and scribes stood before him and hotly accused him. As for Herod, he and his generals disrespected and mocked him. They dressed him in a royal robe and returned him to Pilate. That same day, Pilate and Herod reconciled where there had been hostility between them.
