Response to the Announcement

The room must have been a complete buzz as the disciples shared their guesses as to whom this might be. It opened old wounds from James and John’s request for priority in Jesus’s kingdom.

Apparently, some—or perhaps all—asked Jesus if it was them. These must have been private questions because when Judas left, no one knew why. Judas asked if it were him and Jesus said it was.
