Passover Preparation
Matthew 26:17-19, Mark 14:12-16, Luke 22:7-13
Matthew 26:17-19
Now at the start of unleavened bread, the disciples came to Jesus and asked him, “Where do you want us to prepare for you to eat the Passover?”
And he said, “Go into the city to a certain man, and say to him, ‘The Rabbi says, ‘My time is at hand. I will keep the Passover at your house with my disciples.’” And the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and they prepared the Passover.
Mark 14:12-16
On the first day of unleavened bread, when they killed the Passover, his disciples said to him, “Where do you want us to prepare for you to eat the Passover?”
And he sent two of his disciples, saying to them, “Go into the city, and there you will meet a man carrying a pitcher of water. Follow him and wherever he goes, say to the homeowner, ‘The Rabbi asks, ‘Where is the guestroom, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?’ And he will show you a large upper room furnished and equipped. There, prepare it for us.”
And his disciples left and entered the city, finding things just as he had said. There, they prepared the Passover.
Luke 22:7-13
Then the day of unleavened bread came when the Passover must be killed. And he sent Peter and John, saying, “Go and prepare the Passover for us, so we may eat it.”
And they said to him, “Where should we prepare it?”
He replied, “Look, when you enter the city, a man will meet you, carrying a pitcher of water. Follow him until he enters a house. Then say to the homeowner, ‘The Rabbi asks, ‘Where is the guestroom, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?’ And he will show you a large upper room that is furnished. Prepare there.”
And they went and found it just as he had said to them. So, they prepared for the Passover.
