Jesus Questioned by the Sanhedrin

Matthew 26:59-68; Mark 14:55-65; Luke 22:67-71

About Sunrise, Thursday, March 5, 33 A.D.

Caiaphas Palace, Jerusalem

It was almost dawn as the Sanhedrin members questioned Jesus. It was Thursday morning, March 5, 33 A.D.

Initially, there was an attempt to find witnesses who could give damning testimony, but their testimony failed to meet even their subverted standards for a guilty verdict.

Eventually, Caiaphas grew tired of the process and intervened. He demanded an answer from Jesus as to his claim of divinity. Jesus affirmed it and Caiaphas called for a finding of blasphemy. As soon as he gave his finding, the cowardly again became bold and resumed their mob justice.
