Pharisees Complain about Praise

As he approached Jerusalem, where the Mount of Olives descends, the whole crowd of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God boisterously. They did so because of the wonders they had seen, saying, “Blessed be the King that comes in the name of the Lord. Peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.”

And some of the Pharisees in the crowd of pilgrims said to him, “Rabbi, scold your disciples!”

And he answered them and said, “I tell you that if these should be quiet, the stones would immediately cry out.”
