Matthew 26:31-35; Mark 14:27-31

Matthew 26:31-35

Then Jesus said to them, “All of you will feel threatened because of me this night, for it is written, ‘I will smite the shepherd and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’ But after I have risen, I will go ahead of you into Galilee.”

Peter answered and said unto him, “Even if everyone feels threatened, I will not be intimidated because of you.”

Jesus said to him, “I tell you the truth, this very night, before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.”

Peter replied, “Even if I am killed with you, I will not deny you.”

All the other disciples said the same thing.

Peter answered and said to him, “Even if everyone feels threatened, I will not be intimidated because of you.”

Jesus said to him, “I tell you the truth, this very night, before the rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times.”

Peter replied, “Even if I am killed with you, I will not deny you in any way.”

All the other disciples said the same thing.
