Jesus's Authority Questioned

Upon returning Monday morning, Jesus began to teach as pilgrims gathered around him. The temple powers quickly came to shut him down, though various rabbis teaching their followers here was common. Their strategy was to intimidate him by demanding who had authorized him to teach. They must have looked foolish when asked about John and having to say that didn’t know.
