Matthew 9:35-38

And Jesus went throughout all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease the people had. Seeing the crowds, he was touched with compassion for their needs because they were overcome and scattered, like sheep without a shepherd.

Thus, he said to his disciples, “For sure, the harvest is abundant, but the laborers are few. Therefore, pray to the Lord of the harvest, so he will send more workers into his harvest.”
