The 40 Days Prior to the Ascension

Acts 1:1-3, I Corinthians 15:6

Acts: 1:1-3

O Theophilus, I made the former treatise of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, until the day he ascended. After that, through the Holy Spirit, he guided his apostles whom he had chosen though the Holy Spirit.

He showed himself to be alive after his passion by many infallible proofs and was seen by them forty days, teaching about the kingdom of God.

I Corinthians 15:6

Afterward, he was seen by over 500 brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep.
